Stefan Raid

Stefan Raid (born April 1, 1970 ) is a German basketball official .

From the age of eleven, Raid played basketball for the Hamburg club Turnerschaft Harburg. In the club he was also active as a coach and referee early on. In the Hamburg Basketball Association (HBV) he was involved in the youth and referee committees and was promoted to "Vice President Youth" at HBV. In 2000 he was elected to the youth committee of the German Basketball Association (DBB), later took over the leadership of the delegation for international match trips for junior national teams and in 2011 took up the position of DBB Vice President for Youth and School Sports. In this role, among other things, competitive youth sport with the national squads , screening and squad measures such as the federal youth camp , the Albert Schweitzer tournament , mini basketball promotion and school basketball as well as the basketball variant "3-on-3" fell into his area of ​​responsibility.

In 2016 Raid was elected to the board of the German Sports Youth (DSJ) and was henceforth responsible for finance.
