Stefan Roth (economist)

Stefan Roth (born before 1990) is a German economist and professor of marketing.

Life

Roth studied business administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1990 to 1994 . He then worked on his dissertation on positioning and interaction , which he completed with a doctorate in 1999. During his doctoral studies, he was visiting professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science from 1998 to 1999 .

After completing his doctorate, he moved to the University of Bayreuth , where he completed his habilitation in 2005 with the habilitation thesis Price Management for Service Bundles. From 2001 to 2002 he spent a year as visiting professor at the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. From 2005 to 2006 he held the chair for marketing at the Technical University of Clausthal , before he accepted a position as Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2006. Since 2007 he has held the chair for marketing at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, succeeding Friedhelm Bliemel . Here he teaches services and industrial goods marketing as well as market research and negotiation management. His research focuses on the topics of marketing models and market research methods, price and negotiation research as well as the decision-making behavior of market participants.

In 2012 he organized the 16th workshop on service marketing, the results of which were published in the anthology Current Contributions to Service Research .
