Stefan Schlatterer
Stefan Schlatterer (born July 6, 1967 ) is Lord Mayor of the large district town of Emmendingen .
The son of the former mayor of Emmendingen, Hans-Peter Schlatterer , completed an apprenticeship at a bank after graduating from the Goethe-Gymnasium in Emmendingen. From 1989 he studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and was admitted to the bar in 1998. From 1999 to 2004 he was an independent lawyer in Emmendingen. In 2004 he was elected Lord Mayor. After taking office, he reorganized the structure of the city administration.
Schlatterer has long been a member of the CDU and was a local councilor in Emmendingen. In the election for mayor he applied as a non-party candidate and stood as a candidate for the CDU in the 2004 district elections. Since then he has been a member of the CDU parliamentary group of the Emmendingen district council.
Schlatterer has been a hobby wind musician since early childhood and was, among other things, trumpeter in the Emmendingen Town Music Association . As a brass music conductor, he headed the Malterdingen music association .
