Stefanie Ernst

Stefanie Ernst (born November 17, 1965 ) is a German sociologist and professor of sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster.

Life

Stefanie Ernst studied sociology, ethnology , modern and contemporary history at the Philipps University of Marburg and at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. She received her doctorate in 1998 from the University of Hamburg .

From 2005 to 2011 Stefanie Ernst was junior professor for sociology at the University of Hamburg. In 2011/12 she acted as a substitute professor for macro-sociology at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Magdeburg . Since 2012 she has been professor and managing director of the Institute for Sociology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. Her main research interests are work, knowledge, organization and gender.
