Stefano Roncoroni (born March 21, 1940 in Rome ) is an Italian film journalist and director .

Life

Roncoroni studied at the “Istituto M. Massimo” and - after starting out in physics - obtained a degree in literary studies from the La Sapienza University in Rome. He dealt with art-historical and film-historical topics. In addition, he also worked for television and the cinema itself. Roncoroni wrote film reviews for numerous magazines and worked as an assistant director in the mid-1960s. For the screen he devoted himself to cultural topics in numerous programs and categories of programs (“A come agricoltore”, “Almanaco”, “Approdo”, “Europa giovani”, “Sapere”, “Tuttilibri”, “Settimo giorno” and others). Several television films were made under his direction and in 1988 he made his cinema debut Suitcase with Risk based on his own script. The original and neatly crafted police drama, however, did not find adequate distribution. Roncoroni's second film, Fine dell'intervista from 1993, met a similar fate.
