Steffen Freiberg

Steffen Freiberg (born September 23, 1981 in Rostock ) a German political official . Since 2016 he has been State Secretary for schools and political education in the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

After Freiberg graduated from high school in 2000 , he began studying political and administrative sciences as well as English / American studies at the University of Rostock , which he completed in 2004 with a Bachelor of Artium . In 2007 he graduated as Magister Artium . During his studies from 2002 to 2003 he was chairman of the general student committee of his university.

In 2006 he was an advisor in the SPD parliamentary group in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament for the environment, consumer protection and right-wing extremism , in 2007 he became an advisor for state parliament matters in the Ministry of Transport, Building and Regional Development of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and was also a deputy in this position until 2008 the office manager. In 2008 he moved to the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , where he became head of the state parliament . He held this post until 2011, before he became head of the ministerial office of Mathias Brodkorb in the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

In November 2016, Minister Birgit Hesse appointed Steffen Freiberg as State Secretary for Schools and Political Education of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture in the Sellering III cabinet (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania).
