Steffen Lehmann

Steffen Lehmann (* 1963 in Stuttgart ) is a German architect and university professor who has headed the Research Center for Sustainable Design and Behavior (sd + b) at the University of South Australia since 2010 .

Life

In 1990 Lehmann received an AA diploma from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. This was followed by work at James Stirling in London and Arata Isozaki in Tokyo. From 1993 he worked as a freelance architect (BDA) in Berlin and founded the s_Lab Space Laboratory for Architectural Research and Design (Berlin – Sydney) . In 2002 he received his doctorate in engineering. at the TU Berlin . In December 2002 he was appointed professor for sustainable architecture and urban planning at the University of Newcastle (Australia). Since 2006 he has been editor of the Journal of Green Building , which appears in the USA. In August 2008 he received an additional appointment to the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Urban Development for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Urban Development in Asia-Pacific ).

Since 2010 Lehmann has been director of the Research Center for Sustainable Design and Behavior (sd + b) at the University of South Australia.
