history

Like the von Berg , von Epprechtstein, von der Grün , von Münchberg, von Radeck , von Reitzenstein , von Sparnberg, von Thoßfell, von Töpen and von Wildenstein families , the von Stein families are considered to be a line of the Sack ministerial family, mentioned in 1091 . All of these families are therefore related to the tribe and coat of arms.
