Steinhofen is a district of the municipality Bisingen in the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg ( Germany ). Today the village in the Klingenbachtal has grown together structurally with Bisingen.
history
The place was first mentioned as "Staeinhouen" in a document from 1241. It is probably a highly medieval development settlement and was under Hohenberg rule at the beginning of the 14th century and was sold to Austria with Haigerloch in 1381 . In 1467 the Austrian rulership rights passed to Zollern . Steinhofen was then part of the Bisingen office.
The formerly independent municipality of Steinhofen was incorporated into the Bisingen municipality on April 1, 1938.
