Two stone boxes were discovered in Catterline The short, bell- shaped stone box from Catterline was discovered in 1923, about 150 m southwest of the farm "Upper Mains of Catterline" near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire in Scotland . It is Canmore ID 36774, site number NO87NE 2. Another stone box contained a bell-shaped children's burial, Canmore ID 36764, site number NO87NE 10.

The stone box discovered earlier contained a crouched male burial, accompanied by a bell jar and a piece of quartzite . A cairn about eight feet in diameter covered the box. The stone box and finds are in the Anthropological Museum at Aberdeen University .
