Fjøsviken stone circle

The stone circle of Fjøsviken is located near the Ådalselva river , west of European route 16 , north of Hønefoss in Fylke Viken in Norway .

The stone circle ( Norwegian Steinsirkler ) has about 15.0 m in diameter and is composed of 13 blocks. The five stones closest to the motorway have fallen over while the remaining eight stones are standing. They vary in height from 40 to 90 cm and are 70 to 90 cm wide. The distance between them is 2.0 to 3.0 meters. The stone circle is one of the larger in Norway.

The somewhat smaller stone circle of Helvikhaugen is about 120 m to the east.
