Moltzow stone circle

The Moltzow stone circle was a prehistoric stone circle near Moltzow in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was documented by Georg Christian Friedrich Lisch in 1841 and later destroyed. It was located near a Bronze Age burial ground on a hill overlooking the Malchiner See . The stone circle was about 25 feet (7.5 m) in diameter and consisted of 13 stones about 4 feet (1.2 m) high. Several preserved and destroyed large stone graves , a stone box and numerous Bronze Age burial mounds are also known from Moltzow .
