The Steinmühlenbrücke is a road bridge in Halle (Saale) that spans the Mühlgraben, a branch of the Saale . It connects the eastern bank of the Ziegelwiese , an island in the hall, with the northwest part of the city center.
It was designed in 1912 in the style of reform architecture . It has a wide-span vaulted arch made of reinforced concrete , the bridge parapet is also made of concrete, as are the four candelabra that flank the entrances to the bridge. Two putti with horns of plenty lean against the bases of the fluted , ornamented pillars that carry the lanterns. The bridge is around 20 meters long. It got its name based on the so-called stone mill , a water mill in the immediate vicinity.
