The Stensholt Bay is a bay at the southern end of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It lies between Green Island and Smaaland Cove .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009. It was named after Carl Gustav Stensholt (1882 – ≈1963), captain of the whaling- equipped sailing ship Derwent , on which Stensholt's son was born in Ocean Harbor in 1915 .
