The Stepaside Spur (English for go-aside-spur ) is a striking mountain ridge in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It rises on the eastern flank of the Upper Staircase or the Skelton Glacier .
The New Zealand crew of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) carried out measurements and naming in 1957.
