Stephan Bildstein
Stephan Bildstein (born December 26, 1751 in Ochsenhausen , † after 1809 ) was a German painter .
Life
Stephan Bildstein registered in Bern in 1788 . He stated that he came from Meersburg and that he was court painter to the Prince-Bishop of Constance. In Bern he made at least a dozen portraits of patricians in 1788/89.
In 1796 he stayed in Rothenburg ob der Tauber .
In the county of Hohenlohe-Neuenstein he was employed as a court painter and later as a caretaker "in the castles of the lower country".
He was appointed to paint the dining room in Löwenstein Castle in 1809 .
