Stephan Hanke (born October 19, 1972 in Mannheim ) is a former German soccer player .

He last played in the Oberliga Nord at Altonaer FC from 1893 , with whom he qualified for the new Regionalliga Nord as runner-up in the 2007/08 season . The right foot started his Bundesliga career at Bayer 04 Leverkusen . With FC St. Pauli , he rose to the Bundesliga in 1995 . The defensive midfielder's youth clubs were SSV Vogelstang , SV Waldhof Mannheim and SV 98 Schwetzingen .

In the summer of 2008 he ended his active career at Altona 93.
