Stephan Henrik Barratt-Due
Stephan Henrik Barratt-Due sr. ( February 19, 1919 - November 18, 1985 ) was a Norwegian violinist and music teacher.
Life
The son of Henrik Adam Due and Mary Barratt Due took violin lessons from his father and made his debut as a violin soloist in Oslo in 1940. He gave concerts in Scandinavia and in the USA and from 1970 until his death he headed the Barratt Due Music Institute founded by his parents . In 1980, his son Stephan Barratt-Due ( Stephan Henrik Barrett-Due jr. ) Took over the management of the institute . His daughter is the pianist Cecilie Barratt-Due .
