Stephan Maaß (born August 20, 1976 in Bad Pyrmont ) is a former German soccer player .

The midfielder came to TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus via TSV Elbrinxen and SV Höxter. Towards the end of the 1994/95 season he was first used in the 1st team (Regionalliga West / Southwest). In 1996/97 he was able to fight for a regular place. In 1997 his club was renamed SC Paderborn 07 . In 2000 he moved to the regional division KFC Uerdingen 05 . There he played 93 games between 2000 and 2003, scoring 10 goals. In 2003 he moved back to SC Paderborn 07 , played 42 times in the Regionalliga and scored four goals. After promotion in 2005 he played with the Paderborn in the 2nd Bundesliga and was a regular player.

On February 24, 2006 he tore his posterior cruciate ligament in the 2nd Bundesliga game at SpVgg Greuther Fürth (1: 1) and was out for the rest of the season.

On July 2, 2006, he was able to train with the team again without symptoms for the first time at the start of training for the 2006/2007 season.

After several comeback attempts in Paderborn's 2nd team and after a substitution in the last SCP second division game of the 2007/08 season, Stephan Maaß ended his career and was officially bid farewell before the opening game of the paragon arena between SCP and Borussia Dortmund .

For the 2012/13 season, the Westphalian league team Delbrücker SC signed him as a new coach. In February 2013 Maaß left Delbrück again.
