Stephan Reinhardt (* 1940 in Meißen ) is a German literary critic and essayist .

Life

Stephan Reinhardt was born in Meißen in 1940. He studied German, philosophy and history at the Free University in Berlin. He wrote his dissertation (Dr. phil.) From 1965 to 1967 on Robert Musil's work Man without Qualities . Reinhardt wrote literary reviews for the Frankfurter Rundschau and the Süddeutsche Zeitung . From 1975 to 2007 he was a jury member of the SWR best list . Reinhardt also wrote a number of essays, for example Alfred Andersch. A biography . The essay was published by Diogenes Verlag. Stephan Reinhardt also wrote many radio features on literature and politics. He was also the editor of the first text + kritik issues about Wolfgang Koeppen and Elias Canetti.
