TEXT + KRITIK is a literary scientific journal in which the most important German-speaking writers are analyzed and presented in detail by scientists , critics and authors (as colleagues).

It was published by Heinz Ludwig Arnold from its foundation in 1963 until his death in November 2011 and is published by edition text + kritik (et + k) in Munich . Co-editors are Hugo Dittberner , Norbert Hummelt , Hermann Korte , Steffen Martus , Axel Ruckaberle , Michael Scheffel , Claudia Stockinger and Michael Töteberg . The editorial board of volume 1 on Günter Grass consisted of: Lothar Baier , Gerd Hemmerich, Jochen Meyer, Wolf Wondratschek and Heinz Ludwig Arnold.

The magazine appears four times a year. Each issue has a specific topic, mostly about a specific writer. Issues that are out of print are usually replaced by new editions (for example, Issue 1 on Günter Grass is now in its 7th edition).

In 2013, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the special volume ZUKUNFT DER LITERATUR was published .
