Michael Töteberg

Michael Töteberg (* 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German film journalist and was head of the Rowohlt Agency for Media Rights until 2017 .

Life

Töteberg was a publishing editor in Frankfurt am Main until 1987, then a freelance journalist in Hamburg; from 1994 to 2017 he was head of the agency for media rights at Rowohlt Verlag. His successor from 2018 is Kristina Krombholz. He will remain active in an advisory capacity and will oversee projects.

He writes film reviews, is the editor of the writings of Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Tom Tykwer as well as of Metzler's Film Lexikon. He is also involved in the publication of the literary magazine text + kritik . The publications on Fritz Lang , Federico Fellini and the UFA come from him . From 1992 to 1994 he published journalism by Klaus Mann together with Uwe Naumann , in 2006 he brought out a new edition of the complete works of Wolfgang Borchert ; he is also the author of numerous other publications.
