Stephan Seiters
Stephan Seiters (born July 23, 1960 in Meppen ) is a German lawyer and has been a judge at the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) since 2009 , as presiding judge since 2019.
Career
Seiters began his legal career in 1989 with the entry into the higher judicial service of the country Lower Saxony . In this context, he was a judge on probation at the official and Stade District Court , the local prosecutor's office and at the District Court Buxtehude employed before 1991 to 1995 to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant deputy was. This was followed in 1997 by his appointment as judge at the Higher Regional Court of Celle , of which he was also a member. In 2009, Seiters was finally appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and the III. Civil Senate assigned, which u. a. deals with state liability law and the law of service contracts . In May 2019 he was appointed chairman of the VI. Civil Senate , which u. a. is responsible for the law of tort.
