Stephen Gilligan

Stephen G. Gilligan (* 1954 ) is an American hypnotherapist based on Milton H. Erickson , author and teacher who has traveled around the world since the 1980s. He is married, lives in Encinitas California and studies Aikido .

Live and act

Gilligan received a PhD from Stanford University and was one of the first to study neuro-linguistic programming - with founders Richard Bandler and John Grinder . He specialized early on in Ericksonian hypnotherapy and developed it further into his self-relations psychotherapy , trying to integrate Aikido , Buddhism , meditation and theatrical elements.

Gilligan advocates loving, conflict-free togetherness and non-violent communication. He tries to motivate his clients to transform the many facets of violence and negative thinking into positive life energy. His book on therapeutic trance is already considered a classic today.
