Stephen John Hunter (born October 28, 1968 in Wellington , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actor who became internationally known for his role as Bombur in the Hobbit trilogy .
Career
Hunter lives mostly in Sydney , Australia . He mainly played smaller roles in New Zealand or Australian television series. In the film trilogy The Hobbit , he played the obese dwarf Bombur .
