The Sterenbachsee is located between Wittlich and Wengerohr in Rhineland-Palatinate directly on the B 50 , which is connected to the A1 motorway here via the “Wittlich-Mitte” junction . The urban area of Wittlich is on the opposite side of the motorway.
nature
The reservoir is 400 meters long and a maximum of 160 meters wide and has a free water surface of around 4.2 hectares . It is traversed from north to south by the Sterenbach, whose drainage is initially carried out by pipes under the motorway and later flows into the Lieser . Bathing in the lake is prohibited.
