The Sternberger Heimat-Post is one of fourteen Sudeten German and five Silesian home newspapers, which appears twice a quarter in the Helmut Preußler Verlag Nürnberg .
The local newspaper had around one thousand four hundred subscribers in 2012 and deals with today's town of Šternberk , its inhabitants and the past of the region . Subscribers are former residents of Sternberg and the former Sternberg district in the Sudetenland , Moravia , and their descendants.
The editor of the newspaper is Dieter Gebauer, who lives in Tannheim in the Biberach district in Upper Swabia .
