Star grip
The star grip is a standard element in mechanical engineering and is often used for the manual adjustment of mechanical engineering components .
Layout and function
A star grip with an internal thread or an external thread is mostly used as a manual clamping element. With a through-hole, the star grip can also be used as a quick-release star grip. Star handles are made of aluminum , stainless steel , gray cast iron or plastic . The hallmark is an ergonomic shape with a star look. This ensures a better grip. The variant standardized in accordance with DIN 6336 is most frequently used to hold or fasten control elements on machines, drives or components.
