Stedten (Ilmtal Wine Route)

Stedten is a deserted area in the Mattstedt district of the Ilmtal-Weinstrasse community in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

The place is in the northeast of the Weimarer Land district, north of Mattstedt.

history

Archaeological finds north of Mattstedt can be traced back to a first Roman settlement from the 3rd to 5th centuries . The desert is often referred to by the locals as Stete (n) .
