Steve Berry (* 1955 ) is an American lawyer and bestselling author.

Berry studied law at Mercer University in Macon . In 1990 he started writing. In 2000 and 2001 he won the Georgia State Bar fiction writing contest , and in 2003 his first novel The Amber Room was published by Ballantine.

In Germany Berry is best known for his novel Die Romanow-Prophezeiung (original title The Romanov Prophecy ).

Steve Berry lives in Camden County , Georgia . He is married and has one daughter. In addition to his writing activities, he is involved in local politics in Camden County.
