International Thriller Award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The International Thriller Award is an international literary award for the thriller genre, which is a crime novel . The award is presented annually by "The International Thriller Writers Inc." (ITW) awarded. The organization calls itself The First Organization for Thriller Writers . It was founded by a number of well-known writers at a meeting at the Bouchercon World Mystery and Suspense Conference in Toronto , Canada on October 9, 2004. Gayle Lynds and David Morrell became co-presidents . Members of the organization can become professional English-language authors from anywhere in the world.

The award itself is presented in different categories at the International Fest of Thrillers ; In addition, a so-called “Thriller Master Award” is given annually - similar to the Grand Master Award of the Mystery Writers of America (MWA) - for special services to the “Thriller”. The first award ceremony took place on July 1, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2013, the categories were expanded to include the Best Young Adult Novel and Best e-book Original Novel awards .
