The county is located in the extreme southeast of Georgia, borders the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Florida to the south and has an area of ​​2027 square kilometers, of which 395 square kilometers are water surface; it is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Charlton County , Brantley County, and Glynn County .

history

Camden County was formed as the second county in Georgia on February 5, 1777 as the original county. It was named after Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden , an English Lord Chancellor .
