The Ben Hill County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Fitzgerald .

The county covers an area of 658 square kilometers, of which six square kilometers are water. It is bordered by counties in a clockwise direction: Telfair County , Coffee County , Irwin County , Turner County, and Wilcox Counties .
history
Ben Hill County was formed from Irwin and Wilcox Counties on July 31, 1906 and named after Benjamin Harvey Hill , a Confederate Senator and later a US Senator.
