The Paulding County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Dallas .

The County is located in northwestern Georgia, in the west about 40 km from Alabama and has an area of 816 square kilometers, are water surface which four square kilometers, and borders clockwise to the following counties: Cobb County , Douglas County , Carroll County , Haralson County , Polk County and Bartow County .
The county is part of the metropolitan area of Atlanta .
history
Paulding County was formed on December 3, 1832 as the 87th County in Georgia from parts of Cherokee County. It was named after John Paulding , a merited soldier in the Revolutionary War.

According to the 2010 census, the 142,324 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 48,105 inhabited households, which gives an average of 2.94 people per household. There are a total of 52,130 households.
