The Peach County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Fort Valley .
geography
The county is located a few miles northwest of the geographic center of Georgia and covers an area of 392 square kilometers, one square kilometer of which is water, and is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Houston County , Macon County , Taylor County, and Crawford Counties .
The county is part of the Warner Robins metropolitan area .
history
Peach County was formed on July 8, 1924 as the last county in Georgia from parts of Houston County and Macon County. It was named after the most widely grown fruit here, the peach.
