The Glascock County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Gibson , named after Judge William Gibson , a former Confederate Army colonel.

The county is located in northeast Georgia and about 70 km to the east from South Carolina . It has an area of 374 square kilometers, one square kilometer of which is water. It is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Jefferson County , Washington County , Hancock County, and Warren Counties .
history
Glascock County was formed on December 19, 1857. It was named after Thomas Glascock , a brigadier general in the First Seminole War and a member of the US Congress .
