The county in northeast Georgia bordering South Carolina and has an area of ​​666 square kilometers, of which 120 square kilometers are water and is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Columbia County , McDuffie County , Wilkes County and Elbert County .

history

Lincoln County was formed as the Original County on February 20, 1796. Like the city of Lincoln, it was named after Benjamin Lincoln , a general in the Revolutionary War.
