The Chattahoochee County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Cusseta .
geography
The county is in western Georgia and borders Alabama even to the west . It covers an area of 651 square kilometers, of which six square kilometers are water surface and is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Talbot County , Marion County , Stewart County and Muscogee County .
The county is part of the Columbus metropolitan area .
history
Chattahoochee County was formed on February 13, 1854 from parts of Marion County and Muscogee County. It was named after the Chattahoochee River , which forms the western county boundary.

According to the 2010 census, the 11,267 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 2,686 inhabited households, which gives an average of 2.98 people per household. There are a total of 3,376 households.
