Steven Brian Pennell (* 1957 or 1958 ; † March 14, 1992 ) aka Corridor Killer or The I-40 Killer was an American serial killer who was sentenced to death for two murders. His execution in 1992 was the first in Delaware in 45 years .

In 1987 and 1988 five prostitutes were found murdered along Highway 40 and Highway 13 , who showed evidence of torture and rape. In order to convict the perpetrator, policewomen disguised as prostitutes were used along the highways. After two months, a man finally stopped with Officer Renee Lano, who matched the perpetrator profile made by the FBI. As she negotiated the price for her services with him, she discreetly scratched some fibers from the carpet of his car. In an FBI laboratory, the fibers from Pennell's car were found to match the fibers found on one of the victims.

On November 29, 1988, Steven Penell was arrested and convicted of the murders of Shirley Ellis and Catherine DiMauro . The other three murders could not be proven beyond doubt despite the similarity to the two other homicides.

He was sentenced to death on October 30, 1991 and executed by lethal injection on March 14, 1992.
