The Stichtsche Cricket en Hockey Club ( SCHC ) is the fourth largest hockey club in the Netherlands with 2100 members (2006) . "Stichtsche", usually called SCHC , was founded on November 22, 1906 by students and officers under the name Utrechtse Gemengde Hockey Club and merged in 1927 with the Stichtse Cricket Club . For a long time, the club was considered the most elite hockey club in the country.

The men have been playing in the Hoofd class again since 2002/2003 and reached the play-offs of the best four teams in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Coach Jacques Brinkman's team lost the semi-final series against Oranje Zwart , Amsterdamsche H&BC and HC Bloemendaal . In 2004 the women returned from the transition class to the highest Dutch field hockey league.

The club plays in red jerseys with blue sleeves, black shorts or skirts and blue socks. His facility is located on the Kees Boekelaan in Bilthoven and has one water- blasted and three sand-filled artificial turf pitches.

The SCHC players Rob Derikx and Roderick Weusthof were appointed by coach Roelant Oltmans to the squad of the Dutch national team for the 2007 European men's field hockey championship in Manchester .
