The Forum Law Foundation is a non-profit, federally direct foundation under public law with its headquarters in Karlsruhe and a location in Leipzig . Its purpose is a communication, information and documentation forum based on citizen participation, which takes up current questions of law and the rule of law in the Federal Republic of Germany as a basic requirement for a functioning and lively democracy and for all social groups in exhibitions and activities on site and in virtual space can be experienced. The historical, European and international references are adequately taken into account. The minister responsible, Christine Lambrecht , will work to ensure that both locations are designed and equipped equally. No location should become the other's extension.

The chairman of the board of trustees is Bettina Limperg , president of the BGH .
