The Global Contract Foundation was established on January 20, 2002 by 22 donors based in Hamburg.

It was founded out of the conviction that a central challenge of the 21st century will be to give the idea of sustainability in its economic , ecological , social and cultural dimensions the best possible effect. The purpose of the foundation is therefore the promotion and scientific analysis of worldwide contracts between the relevant political, economic and social forces for the establishment of a sustainable global governance system .

Goals and Activities

In order to achieve its goal, the Global Contract Foundation develops activities in the scientific field as well as in project and public relations work. The Hamburg office of the World Contract Foundation is currently organizing the work of the international Global Marshall Plan initiative.

Board of Directors and Board of Trustees

The board members of the “Global Contract Foundation” have been: Frithjof Finkbeiner (Chairman), Maike Sippel, Armin Frey and Surjo R. Soekadar since 2006 . The board of trustees of the “Global Contract Foundation” consists of: Franz Josef Radermacher (chairman), Ulrich Martin Drescher (deputy chairman) and Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker .
