Stock was a German measure of volume and was mainly used in Hamburg . The measure corresponded to the load , but was only used in the barley trade and differed in the dimensional chain to the load.

In practice, the load was 31 to 31.5 hectoliters , but depending on the raspberry (27.48 liters ) it could be just under 33 hectoliters, so that a stick contained between 46.5 and 49.5 hectoliters of barley.

In the peat industry in the stitch, a stick was a measure that was eight feet long .
