Stockelsdorf Church
The Stockelsdorf Church in Stockelsdorf in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein is an Evangelical Lutheran church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .
It was built in the years 1902/03 according to the plans of the architect Hugo Groothoff in neo-Gothic style and consecrated on March 15, 1903. The construction of the church became necessary after the parish of Stockelsdorf (with Stockelsdorf , Mori , Eckhorst , Groß Steinrade , Bargerbrück , Bohnrade ) was separated from the parish of Rensefeld in 1899 - due to the previous population growth in the 19th century . The church was built from red brick , has a gable roof covered with slate and is approx. 30 m long, approx. 15 m wide and has a 40 m high tower. It has two bells that sound every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in a ′ and c ′, and they sound at 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The church is one of the two listed buildings in Stockelsdorf. Today the church is through the Ev.-Luth. Parish of Stockelsdorf and the Martin Luther parish of Stockelsdorf-Mori used for church services.
