Reto Dubach

Reto Dubach (born October 18, 1956 ; resident in Eggiwil and Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

He went through schools in Schaffhausen. From 1975 to 1980 he studied law at the University of Zurich and graduated with a licentiate . In 1982 he received his doctorate from the University of Basel . In 1984 he was admitted to the bar .

In 1983 Dubach took up the post of examining magistrate at the investigating magistrate's office in Schaffhausen. In 1984 he became the director's secretary at the police department of the canton of Schaffhausen (from 1997 the department of the interior). In 1997 he switched to the post of state clerk. Since January 1st, 2008 he has been a member of the government and heads the building department. After suffering a significant defeat against his fellow competitors Hannes Germann, Thomas Minder and Walter Vogelsanger in the Council of States election campaign in 2015, he announced that he would not run for the government council again in 2016.

Dubach is married and has two children.
