The Stonechute Gully ( English for Stone Canyon slides ) is a steep-walled canyon on the east coast of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is west of Factory Bluffs and heads northeast to Factory Cove .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey took from 1947 to 1950 surveys before. Aerial photographs were taken in 1968 by the Royal Navy . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the gorge in 2004.
