Stop, Look and Listen is an American comedy short film directed by Len Janson and Chuck Menville from 1967.
action
A man goes into his garage in the morning and drives off in his car - which cannot be seen, but makes noise and exists through the man's apparently moving locomotion. At a traffic light a bus stops next to the man, which cannot be seen either. A man starts a racing car from another garage and leaves a large tire track on the asphalt. He's racing through the streets and has to refuel soon. He drinks the gasoline. At the gas station, his glasses are also cleaned as a window. Shortly afterwards, a police officer stopped him in a police car, which was also not visible, because he was driving too fast.
Soon there is a duel between the racing car driver and the man from the beginning. While the latter is driving in a civilized manner, the racing car driver races to every traffic light, at which he then has to wait and is overtaken by the other man. He runs over the man's glasses and tears the bottom of his pants through the glass or damages a tire. He pumps himself or the tire up via his belly button.
After the racing car driver stumbled on a banana peel thrown away by the other man, the fast car began to chase the slow one, which only ended when the racing car ran out of gas and had an accident. The racing car and driver are towed away. Soon afterwards, another racing car stops next to the man, this time with a female driver - who is astonishingly similar to the racing car driver.

Stop, Look and Listen was implemented as pixilation (single image switching), a form of stop motion . This makes it seem as if the men sitting on the asphalt are actually driving. The filming of the film took place in Los Angeles . Stop, Look and Listen was published in 1967.

Stop, Look and Listen received an Oscar nomination for Best Short Film in 1968 .
