Friedrich Adolph ( Friedolph ) Robert Freiherr von Dellingshausen (born October 22, 1938 in Schweidnitz ) is a retired German professional soldier.

Life

Friedolph von Dellingshausen came from the Estonian noble family von Dellingshausen . His parents were Baron Ewert von Dellingshausen (1909–1996), Dr. jur., Konsistorialrat, Ministerialrat and head of the policy department I 1 "Political issues , cultivating the all-German idea" in the Federal Ministry for all-German issues and Countess Helene von Zedlitz and Trützschler (1916–1945). On March 28, 1967, he married in Lüneburg (civil) and on May 5, 1967 in Bonn (church) Renate Ernestine Elisabeth von Kleist (born June 30, 1941 in Berlin ).

After graduating from high school in Bonn in 1958, von Dellingshausen joined the German Armed Forces as an officer candidate for the armored force . His essential uses after the usual troops time in Lueneburg were use as a deputy battalion commander in Handorf at Münster in Westphalia (1971-1974), acting as tactics instructor and company commander at the Armor School in Munster (1974-1977), to participate in the General Staff training Non-NATO officers at the leadership academy in Hamburg (1977 to 1978), a three-year assignment as commander of the 324 tank battalion in Schwanewede (1978 to 1981), three speaker assignments in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn (1981 to 1990), the transfer as deputy brigade commander of the Panzergrenadierbrigade 32 in Ellwangen (1990 to 1992) and the final activity as commander in defense district 75, Chemnitz. Directly related to the reunification in Germany took over from Dellingshausen of 3 October 1990 to 31 March 1991, the leadership of the of the NVA acquired Armored Regiment 15 " Paul Hornick " in Cottbus and prepared this complete dissolution before. He was retired as a colonel in 1996 .

He is a legal knight of the Order of St. John . From 1998 to 2007 he worked full-time as a secretary in the office of the Order of St. John in Berlin and was responsible for personnel and organizational issues. In addition, he made himself thoroughly familiar with the history of the order and published numerous articles on this in the order's magazines. He played a major role in the creation of the Hannover Cooperative's 150th anniversary publication, published in 2014. From 2007 to 2014 he was a volunteer board member of the Johanniter relief organization in Poland (Joannici Dzieło Pomocy). He has also been a member of the board of trustees of the Malteser-Johanniter-Johanneshaus gGmbH in Bonn since 1999 .
