The name of the villa goes back to a figure of a stork attached to the roof of the house , which is said to refer to the use of doctors practicing in the villa in obstetrics . Ewh later became the court doctor of Duke Ernst August . He died in 1919. Ewh's wife was of Jewish descent. She and his daughter were killed in the Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1944 .
