Lake Storvindeln is located in the Swedish province of Lapland, northwest of Sorsele . It is about 52 square kilometers and has a greatest depth of 36 meters. The Vindelälven , which is not regulated, flows through the lake . Therefore, the water level can rise by about five meters in spring.
